Theatre Agency “SoyuzSportTheatre” took a part in the Johvi Ballet Festival (Estonia).
The only festival of classical ballet in Estonian Republic compels the audience attention year in year out. That’s why Johvi bears the title of the Estonian Ballet Capital. This ballet festival is devoted to different generations and ages of ballet – Estonian Ballet legends, today’s stars from different stages of the world and future hopes of ballet. Performances of different youth dancing teams is admitted to the program of the Festival but one of the most famous classical ballet concluding the Festival is the most spectacular even of this bright celebration of classical ballet.
In 2007 Theatre Agency “SoyuzSportTheatre” for the first time took a part in the Jovhi Ballet Festival. Classic of Russian choreography, Ballet “Swan Lake” was performed by the troupe of Saint-Petersburg National theatre of classical ballet and by the stars of Saint-Petersburg and Moscow ballet Natalia Potekhina as Odette, Valeriya Vasilyeva as Odille and Vladimir Iznov as Prince Siegfried. That Ballet “Swan Lake” marked the beginning of active participation of Theatre Agency “SoyuzSportTheatre” in Estonian cultural life.
In 2008 the audience gave an extremely warm welcome to The White Nights Ballet Gala and A. Adam Ballet “Giselle». The White Nights ballet Gala was devoted to the most famous Russian ballets and ballet stars of Saint-Petersburg and Moscow were performing them:

The ballet “Giselle” was performed by the troupe of Saint-Petersburg National Theatre of Classical Ballet, Saint-Petersburg Symphony Orchestra and Russian Ballet Stars Anastasia Volochkova as Giselle and Evgeny Ivanchenko as Count Albrecht.
In 2009 Theatre Agency “SoyuzSportTheatre” performed one of the most beautiful ballet “The Sleeping Beauty” (P. Tchaikovsky, Marius Petipa) with the troupe of Saint-Petersburg National Theatre of Classical Ballet, Saint-Petersburg Symphony Orchestra and with Saint-Petersburg Ballet stars Evgeny Ivanchenko and Irina Golub (one performance) and international celebrities, soloists of the English National Ballet Agnes Oks and Tomas Edur (second performance).
Performance of “The Sleeping Beauty” was retained in the audience memory as a grandiose event, a real ballet feerie, enthralling fairy about All-conquering Power of Princess Aurora and Prince Desire Love! The highest level and elegance of the dancer’s craftsmanship, colorful sceneries and costumes, impressive characters, fascinating plot – all of it kept in hearts of the audience. Theatre Agency “SoyuzSportTheatre” received a great number of thanks from Estonian spectators and from the leaders of The Estonian Concert Hall.
The Johvi Ballet Festival is a grandiose event in the Estonian culture life and it’s a great pleasure for Theatre Agency “SoyuzSportTheatre” to take a part in this exciting celebration of classical ballet.
